Topic: Selection and Application of Allowable Fall Protection Methods

Speaker: Andrew Troccoli, Principal of Anfeald, LLC

Description:

Fall hazards are a leading generator of OSHA violations and penalties every year and falls account for many deaths and serious injuries. At Anfeald, if we work on a case that involves death or serious injury, it is quite often related to a fall. While most employers pay attention to fall hazards, the large number of fall hazard exposure types and the variety of fall protection methods create confusion amongst personnel, and sometimes employers.

With the intention of helping clarify several areas, Andrew Troccoli from Anfeald will discuss several fall hazard scenarios and the allowable fall protection methods for each. The discussion will cover common fall hazards and violations observed by Anfeald associates when in the field, and common fall protection questions from Anfeald classes. It will include general industry and construction, emphasizing the appropriate selection and application of allowable fall protection methods for the indicated fall hazards.
