Safety and Occupational Health Specialist, US Bureau of Reclamation
Dave graduated with a B.S. in Geological Sciences from Penn State University in 1986. In 1987 he accepted a position with the US Bureau of Reclamation’s Soil and Water Laboratory in Bismarck, ND and continued to work in Reclamation laboratories for the next 19 years. He headed up their Bismarck lab as a Physical Scientist for 13 years before it was closed and he transitioned into the Safety and Security field in 2006. Dave has continuously worked as a Safety & Occupational Health Specialist with Reclamation for the past 12 years. In addition he held responsibilities for many years as their Hazardous Materials Manager and Security Specialist. He joined ASSP in 2008 and has attended every Annual Professional Development Conference since then. He was a founding member of the Rocky Mountain Chapter and has served in the past as Membership Chair and Treasurer.
